How developerexperience.com handles your data.
Last updated: May 22, 2026
This page describes what data developerexperience.com and docs.developerexperience.com (together, “the site”) collect, how it is used, and who has access to it. The short version: the site is a static publication; it does not require accounts, does not sell data, and collects the minimum needed to operate and understand basic traffic patterns.
What the site collects §
When you visit the site, the hosting provider automatically logs standard request information including your IP address, user agent, referring page, and the URL you requested. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, and operational diagnostics.
The site does not require you to create an account, log in, or submit personal information to read any content.
Analytics §
The site uses privacy-first analytics that record aggregate, anonymized information about page visits, such as page URL, referrer, country, and browser type. The analytics provider does not set tracking cookies, does not build cross-site profiles, and does not retain identifiable individual visitor data.
Cookies §
The site does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Some functional cookies may be set by the hosting platform for security or load-balancing purposes; these do not identify you personally.
Search §
The documentation site at docs.developerexperience.com uses Algolia DocSearch to power on-page search. When you submit a search query, the query and basic request metadata are sent to Algolia to return results. Algolia’s privacy practices are governed by its own policy.
Third parties §
The site links to other websites and embeds occasional third-party content (for example, code repositories, video, or external documentation). Once you leave the site or load embedded content, the relevant third party’s privacy policy applies. We do not control and are not responsible for the practices of third parties.
Children §
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices §
Because the site does not collect personal information beyond standard server logs, there is generally nothing to delete on request. If you believe the site holds information about you that you would like reviewed or removed, contact us at the address below and we will respond in good faith.
Changes to this policy §
This policy may change over time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
